  • What is HAF? The HAF programme is a benefits-related scheme whereby you can attend this camp for free!

How do I know if I am eligible? Unfortunately many families are not aware that they are eligible for the HAF programme and therefore are missing out! If you are on any kind of benefits, and unsure if you are eligible, then please contact your school or local council to confirm.

I want to book but I don't know my HAF code? We need your HAF code in order to complete your free booking, you can get this from your school or local council.

What are children can attend? Children from age 5 to 16 can attend this camp!

My child has never played football before...does that matter? Absolutely not! This is a beginner friendly camp, and although we recommend children have an interest in sport/football, there is no requirement to ever have played before!

What are the timings of the day? The camp runs from 9am to 3pm

Is early drop off available? Yes you can arrive from 8am, you can book this for FREE!

Do I need to send a packed lunch? NO! You may send a packed lunch if you wish, but as part of the free HAF programme we will provide a healthy lunch and fruit snacks throughout the day. You do however need to bring your own water bottle!

Does my child need any specialist equipment? Please check the surface of your chosen venue and select footwear accordingly. Shin pads are recommended! Please send your child with a range of ample clothing in case of a change in weather!

What if my child misbehaves? Unfortunately, for the safety and wellbeing of all children and staff on the camp, we will not tolerate any adverse behaviour such as constantly not following instructions, bullying, swearing etc. Please make sure there is an adult available to collect your child should they need to be sent home in this circumstance.

My child is SEN, can they come to the camp? Of course! If they are able to attend mainstream school then we welcome them to our camp. Although we mentioned about zero tolerance for behaviour above, if your child is SEN we will of course work with you and prepare in advance if your child may have additional needs/support and allow some flexibility where needed (such as to follow instructions etc.). We are unable to cater for severe physical/SEN needs - if you are in any doubt at all please contact us at accounts@worksoptownacademy.co.uk
