Worksop Town Academy’s First FA Accredited CPD Workshop is a huge success!
Worksop Town Academy is proud to announce the resounding success of its first FA-accredited (CPD) workshop, which took place on Friday evening. This milestone event, titled “Developing the Complete Player,” was delivered by Academy Director Laurie Griffin and brought together coaches from various levels of the game to enhance their knowledge and skills.
The workshop focused on exploring how coaches and the environments they create significantly impacts player development. Attendees delved into the FA’s 4-Corner Model, examining the technical, psychological, physical, and social factors that contribute to making every player unique.
Craig, a Level 1 coach from Worksop Boys & Girls Club, shared his thoughts:
“Tonight’s session was great and well delivered, I will be attending the follow-up sessions throughout the season.”
Scott, from Langwith Whitestar, echoed this sentiment:
“The session was great, and I’d definitely recommend it to other coaches to attend. It helped me with different outlooks on the game, and I’m looking forward to getting back out on the grass with my players to implement what we learned this evening.”
The overwhelmingly positive feedback speaks volumes. A full 100% of attendees expressed that they would recommend these CPD workshops to others at their clubs, emphasizing the value of such initiatives in enhancing their coaching approach.
A Look Ahead
This workshop marks the first in a series of educational sessions hosted by Laurie Griffin. The next event, scheduled for 29th January, will focus on “Supporting Players Through the Ages & Stages of Development.” This session will provide invaluable insights into how coaches can adapt their methods to meet the evolving needs of players as they grow and progress through the game.
